Lonehill Estate
I know I’ve posted about Lonehill estate before, a new Local Band. I really think they have some great potential, and had to share some more info on them. So here is a bit of a run down:
Lonehill Estate was formed in the Johannesburg Summer of 2003 when musicians Jonathan Ross and Brett Beverley (who had previously played together with Spilt Milk) joined the remnant of Cracked Plastic to form a new band. In 2004 Front man Gus Doyle had to pull out of the band due to another calling and with Brett overseas the band found itself down to two members. Around this time Jono entered the reality competition ..Project Fame Africa.. and quickly developed a following thanks to his antics in the house – and his sheer musical talent. Jono eventually came in second, securing a record deal with Sony BMG Africa.

social experiment about perception, taste and priorities of people
would you have noticed?
A man sat at a metro station in Washington DC and started to play the violin; it was a cold January morning.
He played six Bach pieces for about 45 minutes. During that time, since it was rush hour, it was calculated that thousands of people went through the station, most of them on their way to work.Three minutes went by and a middle aged man noticed there was musician playing. He slowed his pace and stopped for a few seconds and then hurried up to meet his schedule.
A minute later, the violinist received his first dollar tip: a woman threw the money in the till and without stopping continued to walk.
